An Education & Family Navigation Companion support offers guidance, education, and emotional support for parents navigating diagnoses, school systems, and next steps. This work is companion-style — walking alongside families with clarity and care.Who is this support for?
This support is for parents and caregivers who feel overwhelmed, unsure of next steps, or need help understanding systems related to disability, special education, and services.Is this therapy, advocacy, or legal support?
No. This service is non-clinical and non-legal. It does not replace therapy, medical care, legal advice, or formal advocacy. Families remain responsible for all decisions. -
How do we communicate?
Communication depends on the service booked. Monthly and mini packages include limited ongoing communication between sessions, while one-time services include communication related only to that session.How quickly will I hear back from you?
Messages are responded to during business hours. Please allow 1–2 business days for a response.Is crisis or emergency support available?
No. Guiding Hands Navigation does not provide crisis or emergency support. Families should contact local emergency or crisis resources if immediate help is needed. -
Do I need to start with a consultation?
A free consultation is encouraged if you’re unsure which service or package is the best fit, but it is not required for all services.What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeited sessions.Do you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of companion support and reserved time, services are non-refundable once provided.Is support limited?
Yes. Services are offered in limited capacity to ensure thoughtful, personalized support. When availability is full, families may be placed on a waitlist.
