About Me
Hi, I’m Nicole Buster, the founder of Guiding Hands Navigation. My journey began long before I ever thought about starting a business. When my daughter was diagnosed with autism, I suddenly found myself navigating a school system I didn’t understand, trying to make sense of evaluations, meetings, legal timelines, and decisions that impacted her entire future.
I remember feeling overwhelmed, confused, and alone — wishing someone could simply guide me, explain things clearly, and walk beside me through the process.
Over time, I learned the laws, the systems, and the power of informed advocacy. Working inside a K–5 autism classroom gave me the knowledge, confidence, and perspective to support not only my own daughter, but other families facing the same challenges.
Guiding Hands Navigation was created from that lived experience. My mission is to make sure no parent ever feels the way I did — unsupported, unheard, or unsure of what to do next. I’m here to guide families step-by-step, empower them with knowledge, and help them confidently navigate the special education system with clarity, hope, and peace of mind.
