Two sides of the same journey.
Nicole Buster founded Guiding Hands Navigation RVA because she has lived this journey from both sides — as a special education professional who spent years working within the system, and as a mom who has sat across the table from that same system, fighting for her child.
"I kept thinking — if I didn't know how to navigate this with my background, how are other parents doing it? The answer was: they're not. They're overwhelmed, they're lost, and they deserve so much better."
That question became the foundation of Guiding Hands Navigation RVA — a companion services business built on the belief that every family deserves someone knowledgeable in their corner. Not a lawyer. Not a therapist. A companion. Someone who walks right alongside you until you feel confident walking on your own.
